About Me
Personal Profile
Steve Barrientos is an architectural student currently completing the five-year Bachelor of Architecture program at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. His academic work spans residential, commercial, educational, and mixed-use projects, with a particular interest in how architecture communicates through form, material, and spatial sequence.

His design approach is rooted in research and experimentation, often beginning with conceptual questions that explore how ideas translate into physical space. Across studio projects, his work investigates themes such as language and architecture, craft and material hierarchy, vertical connection, and the relationship between buildings and their environmental context. These interests are reflected in projects ranging from ecological educational facilities to urban mixed-use developments and fashion-inspired architectural proposals.
