Maison Fragment

A deconstructed hybrid between museum, archive, and atelier, the Maison Fragment Craft Guild reimagines the relationship between fashion and architecture. Inspired by Rei Kawakubo’s radical approach to form, material, and disruption, the project explores the tension between "crystal" and "solid": fragmented, sculptural galleries showcase CDG collections as if in a faceted mineral, while solid zones house workshops, hotel rooms, dining, and lounges that follow a runway-like circulation.

Set within the urban fabric of Chelsea and directly connected to the High Line, the building becomes both a destination and a procession. Interior and exterior spaces blur through zinc-clad surfaces, filtered light, and theatrical voids—transforming the act of viewing, making, and inhabiting into a continuous spatial performance.
