Istanbul Apartments

The Istanbul apartment project explores housing as a tool for social connection within a challenging topographic condition. Situated on a steep slope, the design uses the terrain as an organizing framework, translating changes in elevation into circulation, shared spaces, and layered residential units.

Rather than treating the building as a singular object, the project is composed as a series of interconnected volumes stitched into the hillside. Courtyards, terraces, and vertical pathways encourage interaction while maintaining privacy, allowing community to form through proximity and movement. The project frames housing as an extension of the landscape, where architecture mediates between terrain, dwelling, and collective life.
