Little Egg Harbor High School
The Little Egg Harbor High School project explores how architecture can function as an extension of its ecological context while supporting education. Located within a low-lying coastal landscape, the design responds to environmental conditions such as wetlands, flooding risk, and prevailing winds, using these forces as drivers of form and organization rather than obstacles to overcome.
The school is conceived as a living system, where learning occurs through direct engagement with the environment. Academic spaces are organized around outdoor courtyards, landscape corridors, and visible building systems that reveal processes of water collection, ventilation, and energy use. Circulation paths double as environmental thresholds, encouraging students to observe and understand the natural systems that surround them.
